The competitions of the Theeb Elite Padel Cup concluded on Saturday, marking one of the Saudi Padel Federation’s most prominent tournaments on the season calendar. The championship took place over four days of competition, which kicked off on Thursday, 19 November, featuring elite male and female players across various categories.

This year’s tournament offered a total prize pool of SAR 200,000, reflecting the growing official and public interest in padel, which is considered one of the fastest-growing sports in the Kingdom.

In this regard, the CEO of Theeb Rent a Car, Mr. Naif Al-Theeb, stated:

“Our sponsorship of the Theeb Elite Padel Cup comes as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting sports activities that are witnessing remarkable growth in the Kingdom, and to strengthening our presence in events that resonate with youth interests. Padel today is one of the most popular and widely played sports, distinguished by its entertaining nature and high-level competition. We are proud to be part of this evolving sports movement, which reflects the Kingdom’s vision of supporting sports and creating new opportunities for society.”

The tournament featured competitions across six men’s categories (A, B, C, and D) and two women’s categories (A and B), amid professional organization, strong spectator attendance, and notable media coverage.

The duo Faisal Al-Rubdi and Yousef Hossam claimed the Men’s Category A title, earning the top prize — a car provided by Theeb Rent a Car, the official sponsor of the tournament.

In the Women’s Category A, Areej Farah and Sol Pérez continued their outstanding performances, securing first place along with a cash prize of SAR 15,000.

This tournament forms part of the Saudi Padel Federation’s ongoing efforts to develop the sport locally by raising the level of competition, expanding the player base, and strengthening partnerships with the private sector and sponsoring entities.
